Our founder Ruth Nabembezi wins the African Women Awards (AWA) 2016.

Our founder Ruth Nabembezi last night won the African Women Awards (AWA) 2016 in Zimbabwe in the category “Young Change Maker” for Ask Without Shame and her commitment in fighting the causes of HIV and providing emergency sex education to African youth. Ruth dedicated the award to the entire Ask Without Shame team and we are extremely proud!
Other winning women in this prestigious award included for example biodiversity activist and President of Mauritius Ameenah Gurib and international economist and bestselling author Dambisa Moyo. Ruth was the youngest winner of the evening and the only representative from #Uganda. #AWA2016
